Judy Cartwright

Judy Ray Cartwright, 79, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 12,1946 to the late Mary Jane Willard and Raymond Samples. Mrs. Cartwright retired from the State of Kentucky after a 25 year plus career as a Disability Examiner.

Judy adored her three grandchildren, Audrey Marshall, Emily Marshall and Ian Marshall, and spent as much time as possible cheering them on at their many events, taking them camping and generally subscribing to the saying “what happens at Grandma’s stays at Grandma’s.”

In addition to her grandchildren, those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Gregory Marshall, close friend, Darrell Thompson and dog, Gizmo.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cartwright is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kelly Gregory; sister, Brenda Drury and her beloved dogs Nikki, Bandit, Daisy and Shadow.
