Lexington - Julia 'Goldie' Clemons died Fri., May 12, 2017 in Lexington, KY. A native of Breathitt County, KY, Ms. Clemons was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Centers and Mary Miller; brothers, Clint, Chester 'Tick' and Louis Centers all of Clayhole, KY; sisters Cora (Granville) Hardin of Clayhole, KY, Ida (Peter) Neace of Austin, IN; Isabelle (Maynard) Webb of Pikeville, KY; niece, Sue Webb-Adkins and nephew Tommy (Nancy) Webb, both of Elkhorn City, KY.
Ms. Goldie Clemons spent most of her life in Elkhorn City and Pikeville, KY with her sister Isabelle Webb. She was Southside Steakhouse restaurant - South Mayo Trail - manager for 13 years, which was a steakhouse owned by her sister Isabelle Webb. Ms. Goldie Clemons was one of the best cooks in Kentucky with specialties in the areas of homemade biscuits, porterhouse steaks and delicious home fries. She is survived by son, E.E. Napier of Lexington, KY; daughter Patricia (Dr. William P.) King of Lexington, KY and Karen H. Napier of Richmond, KY.; granddaughters, Vanessa Napier-Stein (Martin) of Fresno, CA; Kelley Napier of Lexington, KY.; grandsons Will, Brian, Robert and Scott King of Lexington, KY.; great-grandsons Evan and Grant Stein of Fresno, CA; great-granddaughter, Lauren Napier of Lexington, KY.; nephew, Russ Hardin of Dayton, OH.; great nephews, Thomas Wayne Webb and Adrian Adkins (Kristi) of Pikeville, KY.
Ms. Clemons will be dearly missed by her family. We love you 'Granny Goldie' forever and ever Amen.
