June Marie Dickenson Ward, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late William Terrell and Ellen Withrow Dickenson. A graduate of Henry Clay High School and the University of Kentucky, she retired from Federal Service having served in St. Petersburg, FL, Cincinnati, OH, and Lexington, KY. Early on, she was employed for 5 years at the Graham B. Dimmick Child Guidance Service. After retirement she worked part time at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed family gatherings, gardening and traveling.
She is preceded in death by a dear son, William Terrell Ward; a dear niece, Victoria Elaine Johnson; and a dear brother-in-law, William H. Johnson. She is survived by her two dear children, Henry C.(Deborah) Ward, III, Goshen, KY and Jacqueline Marie (Sherman) Watters, Cypress, TX; her wonderful sisters, Martha Johnson, Jeffersontown, KY, MaryEllen Followell, Ft. Myers, FL, and Dr. Jean Harber, Ocala, FL; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2019 at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing from 6-9PM. Graveside Service will be 10AM Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Build a Bed Program. www.clarklegacycenter.com
