Kathy Elaine Murrah

Kathy Elaine Murrah, 71, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026.

Kathy was born on June 12, 1955, in Estill County, Kentucky, to Leonard and Jeston Stewart. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family.

Kathy was a fair and honest woman who always put her family above everything else. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and cherished every moment spent with the people she loved.

Kathy was also an active and valued member of the Nicholasville Senior Citizen Center, where she enjoyed the fellowship and friendships she made there.

She is survived by her brother, Larry Stewart (Sarah); sister, Linda Kuiper; daughters, Jeston (Jessica) Alkhraisha (Khaled); Shawna Hayes ( Charles); Son Matthew Murrah (Shamouna); grandchildren, Brianna (B.J), Alexus, Brilee (Olivia), Nyla, CJ, Layla, and Ava; Great Grandchildren, Kaylee, Skyy, Kaden, Emersyn, and Zora, 8 nieces and nephews and a host of family friends who will miss her dearly.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Steward and Jeston Stewart; her grandson, Brian Alan; and her beloved dog, Max.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 5, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., with a service to follow at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing.
