Kevin Wayne Jarvis

Sep 4, 1960 — Sep 9, 2026

Kevin Wayne Jarvis, 66, of Wilmore, Kentucky, passed away on September 9th, 2026. He was born in Grayson, Kentucky on September 4, 1960 to Alva Jarvis Jr and Ethel Wilson. Kevin proudly served in the Kentucky National Guard as E1 Private 1st Class, and later worked as Director of Maintenance for the hospitality industry. He was a hard working man, but the things that mattered most to Kevin could never be measured by a job title.

Kevin loved his family deeply, and especially treasured being a grandfather. Some of his happiest moments were spent telling his kids and grandkids stories from his childhood and sharing with them the places and things he loved. He had a special fondness for Carter Caves, where he enjoyed exploring the caves and spending time in his woods in Wilmore.

He loved animals, trains, motorcycles, building models ,UK and LSU football and basketball, any-things jeep related, antiquing, and simply sitting on the porch watching his birds. Kevin had a natural love for the outdoors and for the simple things in life. His beloved animals- Scout, Ellie, and Ripley- were also an important part of his life.

More than anything, Kevin will be remembered for the person he was. He had a wit, charm, and the heart that left an everlasting impression on the people he met. He could tell a story, make people laugh, and make himself memorable without ever having to try. Those who knew Kevin will carry pieces of those stories, laughter, and memories with them for years to come.

Kevin was proceeded in death by his parents, Alva Jarvis and Ethel Wilson, and siblings Deborah Jarvis Sallee and Larry Jarvis. He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 47 years, Jennifer Brady Jarvis and his children Erik(Ann) Jarvis and Sara Ann Jarvis. His grandchildren Timothy John Harvey lll (Hailey), Brendan Jarvis, Alex Jarvis, Haleigh Brown, and Nathan Jarvis; Brothers Tracy(Lori Poole) and David (Pam) Jarvis; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Kevin’s family and friends will honor his life and his service in a private ceremony in Wilmore. His stories will be told, his laughter remembered, and his presence deeply missed.
