Lawrence Stephen Mazzoni
Jul 25, 1963 — Nov 9, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Lawrence "Larry" Mazzoni announce his passing on November 9, 2025. Larry was born in Louisville, KY to the late Philip Joseph and Anna Maude (McConnell) Mazzoni. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a man whose life was a testament to the power of family and the simple joys of a life well lived.
Larry was a proud employee of the Fayette County Public School system for over 30 years, where he worked as a Custodial Facilities Manager. He left a positive impact on many colleagues and friends throughout his dedicated career.
Outside of work, his whole world revolved around his family. Whether it was always jumping in to help his children, enjoying his time camping and boating, watching the trains go by with his grandson or just sharing a laugh around the dinner table; his primary focus was always his loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Mazzoni; his son, Stephen Mazzoni; two bonus sons, Josh (Hannah) and Spencer Blancet; his grandchilden, Beaux and Kennedy; sister, Trish (Sonya) Mazzoni; brothers, John (Teresa) Mazzoni Bob (Annette) Mazzoni, Philip (Pat) Mazzoni; sister-in-law, Jayne Mazzoni; and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Mazzoni; and two nieces, Becca and Michelle.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 5-7pm at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, KY followed by a Celebration of Life at 7pm for family and friends to share memories of their time with Larry.
Larry will always be remembered for his Kind heart and his unwavering commitment to his family. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, Larry would love if everyone would pick up the phone and call a loved one just to tell them you love them.
