Louis Bernard Chenger Jr.

Lexington, KY Louis B. Chenger, Jr. 05/25/1935-11/07/2017. Loving and devoted patriarch of the family. He will be greatly missed by the love of his life Patricia A. Chenger, daughters Rhonda (Dennis) Huber, Susan (Samuel) Getz, Paula (James) Hunsaker and son Ty A. Chenger. Grandchildren: Brandon Getz, Jonathan Hunsaker, Brittney Koch, Ashley Huber, Justin Hanks, Jennifer Kaitlyn Hunsaker, Mickey Huber, Katie Huber, Samuel Getz, III, Clint Huber, Colton Hanks, Megan Chenger and Jacob Chenger. Great grand children: Derek Getz, Reghan Koch, James Ryan Hunsaker, Ryland Koch, Presley Hunsaker, Cole Akemon. Louis was born in West Brownsville, PA to Louis B. Chenger Sr. and Agnes Fabrick Chenger. Sisters: Eleanor Untiz, MaryAnn Kramerick and Teresa Rockocy. He grew up among several aunts, uncles and cousins. He moved to Cleveland, OH at age 17. He joined the United States Air Force in 1954 where he graduated basic training at Samson Air Force Base in NY. He was an aircraft mechanic working on B-58 and B-52 bombers. . He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He served in the U.S. A.F for twenty years, retiring from WPAFB in 1974 with the rank of Master Sargent. He then worked for the military in civil service. He served another twenty years doing what he loved, crew chief at WPAFB. After retiring a second time, he relocated to Englewood, Florida where he loved playing golf and hosting his many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with trips to the beach, hamburgers and all the ice cream they could eat! Funeral Information There will be a visitation from 10-11am at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing followed by a service at 11am., Thursday, November 9, 2017. Burial will be at 12:30pm, at Camp Nelson.
