Obituary
Lowell M. Wiley, 73, of Nicholasville, Kentucky and husband of 40 years to Wanda M. Wiley, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center.
He received a BA Degree in English from UK in 1992. He was a retired corporate pilot, flight instructor and had attained the rank of Major in the Civil Air Patrol. He recently received the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for 50 years of flight safety. He served in the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl S. and Edith M. Wiley and one brother, Earl Sherman Wiley.
Mr. Wiley is survived by two daughters, Erika Kline (Michael) and Michelle King (Jonathan); five grandsons, Matthew, Nathan and Zachary Kline, Toby Wiley and Justin King; three brothers, Louis Wiley, of Brandenburg, KY; Donald Wiley of Brookville, OH, and Ronald Wiley (Bernice) of Freehold, NJ; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Information
Visitation will be 4-8 pm, Monday, August 16, 2010 at Clark Legacy Center.
Funeral service will be 12:30 pm, Tuesday, August 17 at the Lexington Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 968 Lane Allen Road, with Pastor Pavel Goia officiating. Interment to follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Road, Nicholasville.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Kline, Michael Kline, Jonathan King, Ronald Wiley, Russ Hensley and Scott Garthee.
Honorary pallbearers are Louis Wiley and Donald Wiley.
