Mark Edward Kearney, 63, passed away on May 2, 2018. Born on July 4, 1954 in Lexington, Mark was the son of James R. Kearney Jr. and Mary Ann (McQuaid) Kearney. Mark was a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School, class of '72 and Transylvania University where he was a member of Phi Tau fraternity. Mark also graduated from Barry Law School and was a member of the Kentucky Bar Association. He was a member at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington.
Mark is survived by his parents James and Mary Ann Kearney, Lexington, sisters Karen Sheetz (Michael), Lexington and Lisa, Lexington, brothers Jeffrey (Béatrice), Paris, France and James III, Lexington, his nephews Evan, Conner, and Drew, and nieces Valentine and Claire.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 171 Market Street, Lexington, on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11am. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 from 5-9pm at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, 601 E. Brannon Road, Nicholasville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Transylvania Scholarship Fund and the First Presbyterian Church.
