Obituary
Mary Evelyn Burton Summers, age 87, wife of Curtis Summers, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 14, 2009. Evelyn was born March 28, 1922, in Madison County, Kentucky, to the late Horace Burton and Anna Brown Burton.
She was the mother of four children, whom she loved dearly, Larry Rhineheimer, and wife Kathy, of Lawrenceburg, KY; Bettye Shaffer, and husband Kermit, of Nicholasville, KY; Louanne Davis, and husband Wesley, of Nicholasville, KY; and Steven Rhineheimer, and wife Kim, of McDonough, GA. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Larry Rhineheimer, wife Terry, of Golden, CO; Chris Davis, of Geneva, OH; Derek Rhineheimer and Jessica Rhineheimer of Lexington, KY; Tim Davis, of Nicholasville, KY; Krista Rhineheimer and Nathan Rhineheimer of McDonough, GA. And four great- grandchildren, Kaleb, Madeline, Mason and Landon. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas Burton and Carl Burton. Her family loved her dearly and will miss her always.
Funeral Information
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Friday, August 21, 2009, beginning at 5 p.m., at Clark Legacy Center.
A Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Steve Pearson officiating. A private burial will take place at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
