Matthew Ganter Hughes, 35 of Lexington, KY passed away October 8, 2018.
Matthew was born October 16, 1982 in Lexington, KY to Charlie Glenmore Hughes, Jr and LaVece Ganter Hughes.
Matthew loved the outdoors and was always up for an adventure. He was a genuine soul who showed his love by selflessly doing for others, preparing others delicious meals, and giving the best bear hugs.
Matthew was preceded in death by his father. Charlie Hughes in April of this year.
He is survived by his mother LaVece Ganter Hughes; brothers Charlie "Chip" (Susan) Hughes III and Edward Ganter (Jennifer) Hughes; several nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville, KY.
A gathering of family and friends will follow the Celebration of Life from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Legacy Center.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Disciples of Christ (for Camp Wakondaho) 1125 Red Mile Rd. Lexington, KY 40504.
