Melvin Caudill, 79, died. He is survived by his daughters Ashley (Bryan) Conway and Robin Bush; sons Randall Caudill; 5 sisters; 8 brothers and grandchildren Jessica, Amanda, Savanna and Caleb. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Goldie (Patton) Caudill; 1 brother and 1 sister. Melvin was a self-made man, who came from humble beginnings and through hard work and commitment to his family, finished life well. He was a friendly man, who never met a stranger. Melvin was well respected by everyone he knew. In his younger years, he liked to fish the James River in Virginia. Throughout his life he loved vintage cars. Melvin was a family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a faithful attender at The Vinyard Christian Church in Lexington, and when he was back home, he returned to Rose Hill Baptist Church in Ashland, KY. When he said, “Look here”, you would want to listen…he had something to say. In lieu of flowers, the family that donations be made in Melvin’s name to The American Cancer Society.
