He is survived by his wife Claudia (Belknap) Maggard; daughters Jennifer (DeShawn) Johnson and Jillian (Matthew) Gann; son Michael Jason (Ashley) Maggard; brothers Phillip (Jody) Maggard, Lon (Susan) Maggard, Timothy (Valerie) Maggard and Mark Joseph Maggard; grandchildren Paul Johnson, Ezra Johnson, Penny Gann, Mary Trammell, Emma Trammell and Talbot Trammell and step-daughter Carmen (Wilson) Trammell. Michael worked in the international division of John Deere, where he worked and lived in places such as Canada and Saudi Arabia. He was a man of adventure, who would pack up his car and travel the highways and byways of America, just to see what was around the next curve. In his younger years, he was a Deputy Sherriff with the Lee County Sherriff Department. For fun, he loved to target shoot. Michael was a great story teller who loved to share his adventures with anyone willing to listen. Michael was a family man who loved spending time with Claudia and the kids.
