Nancy Vivian Allen

Nancy Vivian Allen, 86, passed away April 1, 2018 at her home in Lexington, KY. She was born on July 8, 1931 in Eastern Kentucky. Nancy was a successful realtor in the Dayton area for over 35 years. The last 28 years with Coldwell Banker Heritage. She particularly liked working with young families purchasing their first homes, forming many life-long friendships. Nancy retired in 2007 at the age of 76 and returned to Kentucky to be near her daughter and family. Nancy is survived by a son, John (Terry) Allen; daughter, Sharon (Carlton) Currens; five grandchildren; Brittany, Amanda (Kyle), Carrie (Jason), Heather and Abby (Drew); seven great grandchildren; Grace, Olivia, Ellie, Madeline, Aiden, Owen and Quinn; and long-time friend and companion, Don Toberen. She is preceded in death by a son, James Courtney Allen. A celebration of life will be held in Dayton at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice) Lexington, KY.
