She was born in Lexington to the late Harold Edwin and Mary Anna Wheeler May. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School. She was a nurse at UK Hospital, Fayette Health Department and Trane Co. She retired from the Attorney Generals Office in Criminal Appeals. She was a member of Capital City Christian Church, Random Homemakers, UN Association of Frankfort, KHS/KGS, KY Public Retirees, Ladies Auxiliary VFW 4075, a Kentucky Colonel, Becoming an Outdoor Woman, K.N.O.W., Good Timers, and the KY Mt. Club. She is survived by her daughters, Denise Cane and I. Amelia (Thomas) McIntosh; and her grandson, Logan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Adkins. Funeral Information Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Dr. Steve Pattison will officiate. A graveside service will be held at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 12:00pm. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
