Pauline Gilvin

Pauline Gilvin, 88, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019. The widow of Elliott “Pete” Gilvin, Pauline was born January 15, 1931 to the late Robert and Grace Barnett Walling in Paris, Kentucky. The wife of a farmer, Pauline embraced her job as the caretaker of their home and children. She spent many hours canning vegetables from a garden, which quite possibly could have fed the entire county, and cooking for not only her family, but the farm hands as well. Several of which were more than happy to return for more work, if there was the promise of a meal prepared by Pauline. Embroidery was something she enjoyed until her later years when her hands just wouldn’t quite work the way she wanted them to. Pauline is survived by her sons, Garey and his wife Nila Gilvin of Richmond, and Gregg Gilvin of Versailles. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00a, Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Rose Crest Cemetery, Versailles, with Steve Guarneros officiating.
