Obituary Phillis Crouch Staton, 63, of Nicholasville, body died Sunday, October 17, 2010, but her soul has gone to be with the Lord. She was the daughter of Wendell Lee and Beulah Mae Conley Crouch of Morgan County, Kentucky. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Morgan Staton; her son, Morgan Todd Staton; her daughter, Wendy Mae Staton (John Cannon) Fritz, both of Nicholasville; three sisters, Helen Louise (William) Robinson; Fern Thielen, both of Enon, Ohio and Janis C. Williams of White Oak, Kentucky; two nieces; two nephews; and a very special friend, Jean Nicholson. Phillis was a saved member of Richmond Road Baptist for 35 years. She had a teaching degree from Morehead State University, graduate work from MSU, EKU, and UK. She was retired from the Jessamine County School System where she had taught K thru 2 for 25 years. She had a deep love for God, her family, and her church. Funeral Information Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Funeral Service will be 10 am, Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Richmond Road Baptist Church, followed by burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Kentucky.
