Raymond G. Jacobs, 93, husband of Margie Tingle Jacobs, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019. A native of Frankfort, he was born on January 22, 1926 to the late Charles and Ernestine Vanhoose Jacobs. He retired from Rand McNally and was a Veteran of the US Army having served in WWII. Raymond was a member of East Frankfort Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for the Senior Men’s Class for over 35 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Karen (Sam) Bailey, Frankfort; his son, Butch (Tabatta) Jacobs, Frankfort; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Joan Faulconer Jacobs; and his son, R.G. Jacobs.
Funeral service will held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at East Frankfort Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle McDanell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casketbearers will be Charlie Booze, Ronald Wayne Wilson, Sam Bailey, Jay Jacobs, Jordan Jacobs, and Butch Jacobs. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the church.
