MIDWAY- Regina Mitchell McDaniel, 55, wife of Kenneth D. McDaniel, Jr, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018. She was born in Georgetown, Kentucky on August 10, 1962. Regina spent her life working with animals. She loved all animals, especially horses and dogs. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Barbara Lunsford, Lexington; her father, Fred (Nancy) Mitchell, Lexington; her daughter, Elizabeth Jenkins (Matt Trebelhorn), Frankfort; her son, James (Michelle) Douglas, Lexington; step son, Doug (Katy) McDaniel, Midway; sisters, Robin (Efrain) Arroyave, FL and Tammy (Brian) VanSteenburgh, Scott County; step sisters, Jane and Marty; and 8 beautiful grandchildren.
Regina was preceded in death by her step daughter, Katie Coomer.
A Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Midway Cemetery. Pastor Mary Seeger Weese will officiate. Following the graveside, a gathering of family and friends will be at Regina and Kenneth’s home in Midway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass www.bgcarenav.org or the Lung Cancer Association www.lungcancer.org.
