Richard Allen Haggard

Lexington, KY Richard Allen Haggard, 78, died October 5, 2015. He is survived by his son Shirley "Rick" (Patricia) Haggard, grandchildren Kaitlin Cheyenne Haggard and Robert "Robbie" Ambrose Haggard, and special companion Ellen "Dottie" Vice. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Wynn and Lucy (Shearer) Haggard, and brothers Burl, Wilson, Leonard and Samuel Haggard. Richard was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Harrodsburg, KY. He was a hardworking man who loved to spend his quiet times fishing and watching his beloved UK Basketball Team and Cleveland Browns Football Team. He was a humble, quiet, generous man who loved the Lord passionately. In his youth, he was an excellent baseball player who could have gone pro. In recent years, his passion and time was spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral Information There will be a celebration of Richard's life from 5-7 PM, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. Burial with military honors will take place at 11 AM, Friday, October 9, 2015 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
