Ricky Gene Gayhart

Ricky Gene Gayhart, 70, of Lexington, and husband of Kennetha Jane Faust Gayhart passed away while under hospice care in Lexington on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. A Lexington native, he was born to the late Cecil Ray Gayhart and Deloris Jean Gray Lawrence on August 18, 1956.

Ricky attended Henry Clay High School. After high school, he served our nation honorably in the U.S. Army.

He went on to have a successful career as a house painter in Central Kentucky.

In addition to his loving wife of 36 years, Ricky is survived by three children: Autumn and Aren Gayhart and Tom Rodgers; one brother, Tony Gayhart; four grandchildren: Austin (Donna) Couey, Haley (Derek) James, Jeremy Gayhart, and Maverick Byers; and one great-grandchild, Braelynn Olivia James.

Ricky chose cremation and no services are planned at this time.
