Ronnie Dale Goocey

Ronnie Dale Goocey, 75, husband of Karen Goocey passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in Lexington, KY. He was born on March 26, 1951 in Onida, KY to the late Howard and Kathleen Goocey. Ronnie was a U.S Army Veteran, Electrician for the VA Hospital for over 30 years. He was a good Christian man that was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and golf.

He is survived by his wife of 53 yrs Karen Goocey, two daughters, Crystal (Brad) Hacker, Winchester, KY and Tonya (Ryan) Posey, Madison, AL; four grandchildren, Whitney Hacker, McKinley Hacker, Ellis Posey and Wade Posey; seven sisters, Loretta Marcum, Brenda Young, Gloria Bryant, Evelyn Williams, Betty Blanton, Regina Little and Linda Moore; two brothers, Fred Gocey and Gary Goocey; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Donnie Goocey.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 12pm Friday, September 18, 2026, at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing followed by a graveside service at 1:30pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Wreaths Across America.
