Ruby Murphy Smith

Ruby Murphy Smith, 81, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018. The widow of Ike Smith, Ruby was born July 14, 1937 to the late William and Mabel Wilson Murphy in Casey County, Kentucky. She is survived by her children, Linda Downey, Lawrenceburg, Tammy Sims, Danville, William “Tommy” Smith, Lawrenceburg, and Jason (Sherry) Smith, Harrodsburg; sisters, Ethel Lawson, Salvisa, Martha Murphy, Versailles, Becky Florian, Harrodsburg, and Ida Southerland, Versailles; brothers, Johnny Murphy, Lawrenceburg and Jimmie Murphy, Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Ike, and parents, Ruby was preceded in death by a son, Terry Smith; and siblings, Elsie Florian, Norman Kincaid, and Sammy Murphy. A Funeral Service will be held 6:00pm, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill in Versailles, with Pastor Deborah Peach officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00pm until time of service.
