Scott Allen Gralheer

Apr 3, 1960 — Aug 14, 2026

Scott Allen Gralheer, 66, of Lexington passed away while surrounded by his loving family and husband Don DeLuca on Friday, August 14th, 2026. He was born to the late Merle and Jan Gralheer on April 3, 1960 in Pender, Nebraska. He was a dedicated member of Faith Lutheran Church, Lexington.

Scott excelled at many vocations throughout his life, including training thoroughbred horses, landscaping, hospitality, and patient care. He earned his doctorate from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and worked as a valued chiropractor for many years, serving the Lexington and Versailles community.

Scott was dedicated to community service and passionate about supporting his neighbors. He was an integral part of fundraising and leadership at many local organizations, including, but not limited to, co-creator and co-chair of The Taste of Grace annual fundraising campaign, vice president of the Harstad Fine Arts Series board, and Sunday school director, parish life chair, member of the church council and numerous other committees at Faith Lutheran Church.

Scott’s happy place was his backyard, where he cultivated a garden oasis that he shared with the people he loved; including gifting his plants to friends and family across the country. He and Don loved hosting in their home, backyard, and especially around the table for a homemade meal, glass of wine, and riveting conversation. Scott had an infectious smile and made friends wherever he went. He had a strong Christian faith and always lived life to the fullest. But most of all, he loved his family, both biological and chosen.

In addition to his husband of 25 years, he is survived by his step-father Lawrence Doffin; two daughters, Corrie (Cody) Gralheer and Lora Gralheer; four siblings, Brad (Terri) Gralheer, Lynn Gralheer, Gay Gralheer, and Barry (Mary) Gralheer; seven nieces and nephews: Brandon (Kristina), Chris (Amber), Travis, Brian (Kate), Conner, Ashley (Matt), and Tyler; three granchildren, Charlie, Danny, Zoey; and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews: Graham, Booker, Otto, Cooper, Braxton, Reilly, Blakely, Lennon, Lincoln, Luke, and Rhett. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Ernest and Lora Gralheer and Otto and Clara Westerhold and brother-in-law, Brian Wheeler.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Faith Lutheran Church, 1000 Tates Creek Rd., Lexington, KY 40502 followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026 at the church.
