Sharon Reynolds, 74, went home to our Lord and Savior on December 18, 2017. She is survived in death by William Reynolds, loving husband of 52 years who always stood by her in sickness and in health. She was blessed with three daughters, Mary Mulcahy, Michelle Griffin and Dora (Bryant) Johnson. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest pleasures. Grandchildren include Rebecca Mulcahy, John Mulcahy, William (Sarah) Meador, Roxie Johnson,and Linzy Johnson. Great grandchildren include Amber Mulcahy, Dustin Burge, Emma Burge, Noah Taulbee, and Haygen Meador.
She started her commitment and care of the community in Dr J.S. Williams' practice as his nurse. She went on to become the administrator of Rose Terrace Lodge Nursing Home and cared for the elderly like they were her own family. Lastly, she was elected in 1980 to be Jessamine Counties first female Coroner. She held that elected office until 1995 when she had to retire due to health reasons. All the while she was the best wife, mother and daughter she knew how to be. She loved her family and friends along with her community. In her down time which was very limited, she loved to watch her University Of Kentucky basketball Cats and would hit local auctions to buy antiques with her husband.
Funeral Information
There will be a graveside service December 28, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
