Shirley Elkins

Obituary Shirley Craiger Elkins, 73, wife of the late Everett Elkins, died on Sunday, April 14, 2013. She was born in Oven Fork, Letcher County, KY on November 11, 1939 to the late Jesse James and Renavae Craiger. Shirley was a homemaker, a superior quilter, and a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her daughters, Kaye (Ricky) Young and Jackee Gantley, both of Frankfort. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Garry Elkins and two sisters, Bobbie Sue Craiger and Opal Robinson. Other survivors include five sisters, Gerry Boggs, Martie Cameron, Christine King, Judy Spencer, and Anita Napier; a brother, Estel Craiger; three grandchildren, Tracy McCann, Derrick Young, and Corey Young; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; and a caring brother-in-law, Jim Robinson. Funeral Information The family has chosen cremation, and no services or visitation are planned.
