Steve Barnes

Obituary Steve Barnes, 58, of Versailles, Kentucky and husband of Nina Murphy Barnes, died Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born September 25, 1952 in Alameda, California to Samuel B. (Catherine) Barnes and the late Barbara Jury Barnes. Steve was a member of Southland Christian Church, proudly served in the Army for 20 years and was also named Army Recruiter of the Year numerous times. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his son, Eric Barnes of Bardstown; daughter, Stephenie Barnes of Louisville; sisters, Donna B. (Larry) Wheeler of Bardstown, and Becky (Lynn) Terrell of Chaplin; step sister, Cirris (Matt) Hatfield of Murray; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Visitation will be 2-5 pm, Sunday, August 7 at Clark Legacy Center. Funeral service will be 10 am, Monday, August 8, followed by burial at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Josh Terrell, Daniel Wheeler, Travis Yates, Matt Dykes, Ryan Barnes and David Floyd.
