Vernon Lester Hutton, 69, born October 25, 1945 in Hyden, Kentucky, departed this life on February 8, 2015. He leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Debra Geyer Hutton. He was born to William T. Hutton and Chelsea Stidham Hutton. He graduated from Clay County High School in 1964, was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant after 23 years of service and retired from Wal-Mart after 19 years. He loved the great outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. His heart was measured by his kindness and generosity. He leaves many good memories for all who loved him.
He leaves his children to mourn his passing: son, Ricky Hutton and wife Caron of Costa Mesa, California; daughter, Michele Ann of Kissimmee, Florida; daughter, Dawn Delong and husband Mark of Magnolia, Kentucky; daughter, Carlie Sherwood and husband Todd of Waterboro, Maine; son, James Canales of Nicholasville, Kentucky; son, Adam Canales and wife Sarah of Eglin Air Force Base, Florida; son, Nathan Canales of Hampden, Maine; two brothers, Virgil Stidham and wife Ruth of Peebles, Ohio and Walter Hutton and wife Denise of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Mary Snyder of London, Kentucky, and Carlie Willoughby and husband Garry of Jeffersonville, Kentucky; grandchildren, James, Sarah, Heather, David, Eli, Owen, Ian, Anna, Joseph, Carter and Rebecca and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, William T. Hutton, oldest brother, Granville Hutton of Augusta, Georgia and a sister, Wilma Hutton Mosley of Asher, Kentucky.
Funeral Information
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 2-4pm at the home of Carlie Willoughby, 8825 Cream Alley Road, Jeffersonville, Kentucky 40337.
