Virginia I Allison

Lexington, KY Virginia I. "Nanny" Allison, 92, died May 30, 2016. She is survived by her daughter Debra (Ronald) Hudson; sons Dick Weaver and Charles "Dale" Long; grandchildren Carrie (Lisa) O'Connor, Wade (Megan) O'Connor, Mike (Anna) O'Connor Derick (Maria) Hudson and Brandon Hudson; great grandchildren Scarlette, Dustin, Meredith Lee and Brenna Lynn. She is preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Emma (Schultz) Steck; husband Charles Long; son James Weaver; sister Thelma Lotter; brothers Vernon Steck and John Steck and grandson Brian (Chelle) Weaver. She was a hard working person, working until she was 80 years old which included selling her cakes. For entertainment, she liked to go to the riverboats to try her luck. She was a big Cincinnati Reds fan, which probably began because she played softball as a teenager. She always enjoyed music and dancing. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering Of Family and Friends from 11 AM - 1 PM, Monday, June 6, 2016 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing followed by a funeral service at 1 PM. The burial will be at Bluegrass Memorial Garden at 2 PM.
