A native of Frankfort, she was born on February 13, 1929 to the late Edmund and Thelma Willis Grimes. Mrs. Whisman was retired from the state of Kentucky. She is survived by sons Rodney (Barbra) Whisman; Billy (Elsie) Whisman; her brother Paul Edmund Grimes; sister Shirley Grimes (Haskell) Harp; her grandchildren Christopher Waford; Jason Whisman; Angela Collom; Jeffrey Whisman; Jennifer Whisman; Gwyn Perez; Cindy Patton; Randy Austin; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral Information Services will be held 7:00pm Monday March 23, 2015 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road. Brother Robert Cable will officiate. Burial will be private. Honorary casketbearers will be Jason Whisman, Chris Waford, Jeffrey Whisman, Austin Patton, Corey Patton, Jake Waford, Foster Whisman, Kemper Whisman, Ryan Waford, Cooper Waford, Jeffrey Whisman Jr., Blaine Collom, Haskell Harp, Patrick Harp, Logan Harp, Paul Grimes, Danny Grimes and Coe Norton. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until start of service Monday.
