Wilbur O. Moffett Jr., 83, widower of Laura Richardson Moffett, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2019. Wilbur was born December 23, 1935 to the late Wilbur Oscar Moffett Sr. and Birda Tracy Moffett in Jefferson County, KY. He was a Golf Pro at Woodford Hills Country Club until his retirement.
Wilbur is survived by a daughter, Susan Lane (Michael Bryant), Versailles; a son, Jeff (Heather) Moffett, Versailles; a sister, Georgia Moffett, Versailles; grandchildren, Amanda Crowe, Tyler Moffett, Kevin T. Lane, Kayla Moffett, Abby Moffett and Emma Moffett; and great-grandchildren, Gracie Bella and Ainsley.
In addition to his wife and parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by a son, Rick Moffett and a sister, Ann Moffett.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00am, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill; officiating the service is Rev. Steve Bruce. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Versailles Road. Casketbearers are Kevin T. Lane, Michael Bryant, Jason DeBold, Tyler Moffett, Nate Hollon and Chris Floyd. Visitation is from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Larry Gilbert Junior Golf Foundation.
