Frankfort- William “Bill” Burleson, 71, husband of Melanie Burleson, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. A native of Frankfort, KY, he was born on February 2, 1947 to Virgie Burleson and the late John Burleson. Bill was a systems analyst for the State of Kentucky, and a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Juniper Hill Golf Club, and a life member of VFW Post 4075.
In addition of his wife and mother, Bill is survived by his brother J.C. Burleson, GA; and his grandchildren Lacy Burleson, Lawrenceburg; Jordan and Jaden Burleson, Danville.
He was preceded in death by his father, as well as, his daughter Tammy Burleson, and his sister Brenda Burleson.
A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as casket bearers wills be Jim Thompson, Scott Hunt, Todd Burleson, Scott Burleson, Justin McGee, and Terry Taylor. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 11:00am until the start of service at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions are suggested to Juniper Hill Golf Club.
