William Kimberlain “Bill” “Kim” Russell, 59, died February 17, 2018. He is survived by his wife Rochelle (Van Horn) Russell; parents William and Inez (Bugg) Russell; daughters Monica Boatwright and Devany Polley; son Mitchell Boatwright; sisters Carolyn Tillett and Anessa Dunaway and grandchildren Gwendolyn, McKayla, Douglas, Chevy, Brittnee, Jaelynn and Brandon. He is preceded in death by his sister Janet Russell.
Bill was a devoted member of the 7th Day Adventist Church. For fun and entertainment, he was an avid spelunker. He also loved attending the Keenland Races. Bill enjoyed traveling, even if the trip had no purpose other than seeing something different. His favorite book was the Bible and he read it often. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed having dinner on the table when Rochelle came home from work. His favorite pets were Smokum and Oscar the Fish.
There will be a Graveside Service at 2PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Blue Grass Memorial Garden on Harrodsburg Road. A meal will follow at the 7th Day Adventist Church on Allen Road at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, Rochelle is accepting donations for a Hospice Leaf at St. Joseph Hospital, Hospice floor.
