Ky to the late William Per Maples and Opal Croucher Maples. He was a retired employee for the V.A. Medical Center and served in the US Army Vietnam War. He was a Life Long Baptist. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Zova (Marty) Rothchild of Nicholasville, Karen Maples , Jennifer (Barry) Collins both of Lexington; his sister, Mary Maples of Lexington; his brother, Samuel Maple of OK.; his grandchildren, Clara Rothchild , Maggie Rothchild, Spencer Collins, Grace Collins, and Caroline Collins; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Winfield Maples, Jr Funeral Information Funeral service will be Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, officiated by Pastor Monte Wilkinson and Zova Rothchild. Burial will follow at Versailles Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Serving as casketbearers will be Barry Collins, Mark Pennington and Spencer Collins. Honorary casketbearers will be Marty Rothchild.
