Shirley Ann Sue Hamilton

Shirley Hamilton, 80, wife of Ray Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026. A native of Versailles, she was born on September 16, 1945, to the late Logan Lay and Ida Bell Hicks Lay.

Shirley was a member of the Church of God in Lexington. For 35 years, she was a in home childcare provider, and she was the Activity Director for Taylor Manor Nursing Home. Shirley loved to sew, and she made baby blankets for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 64 years, Shirley is survived by her two children, Donnie Hamilton (Sandy) and Bonnie Johnson (BJ); 5 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill with Pastor Jeff Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of service on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill.
