Died January, 16 2026

Lived in Des Moines Iowa until moving to the Rockford/Loves Park Illinois area where he attended school graduating in 1964 from Harlem High School.

Enlisted in the army in 1966 attaining Airborne and Green Beret status and discharged in 1969

Employed as appliance repairman, security system installer and business telephone systems installation, retiring in 2007.

Married Norma Lingelbach née Getty in Las Vegas 6/21/1980.

Children: Jennifer (Jason) Serrano, Brian Lingelbach, Matthew (Jodi) Lingelbach
Grandchildren: Amanda Curry, Cobey Lingelbach, Kyle Lingelbach, Bryanna Lingelbach, Ashley Lingelbach, Mateo Serrano and 10 great grandchildren.
Sisters: Kathie Merideth, Nancy Pierce , Karen Bennett and Linda Morgan

Mike was a cherished member of the Getty clan and will be missed.
