Shirley M Bartosz

Tigard – Shirley Bartosz, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and held in the arms of Jesus. Born in Yakima, Washington, on October 15, 1936, she attended Albany High School and earned a medical secretary certification from Marylhurst College. She worked for many years as a medical assistant in Salem and devoted herself to numerous volunteer activities. Shirley’s greatest joys were her faith and family. Before moving to Tigard in 2020, she was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 64 years. She participated in parish ministries, including Bible study and prayer groups, helped with funeral receptions, and was a member of YLI. She remained devoted to the Rosary and Adoration. Shirley cherished her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and friends, who filled her life with laughter and support. She performed countless acts of kindness, often without recognition. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Tom Bartosz, and her parents CH (Bud) and Mina Davis. She is survived by her children, Cecilia (Mark) LeChevallier of Morrison, CO, Carol (Dcn Chuck) Amsberry of Redmond, OR, Bob (Nancy) Bartosz of Salem, Don (Ronee) Bartosz of Sparks, NV, Barbara (Mike) Britch of Tigard; Sister Joyce Depweg of Otis, OR, Brother Pat Davis of Dacula, GA; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salem with Rosary at 1:30 pm, funeral Mass at 2 pm with reception following. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Oregon Right to Life or Michael the Archangel Pregnancy Support Services in Salem. Arrangements by Crown Memorial -Tualatin
