Linda Lee Zevenbergen
December 16, 1941 — March 28, 2026
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Linda Lee Zevenbergen (nee Pederson), of Blaine, Washington, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026. She was born in Seattle, Washington, on December 16, 1941, to Melford and Maxine Pederson. A graduate of Roosevelt High School, she went on to attend Western Washington University where she studied elementary education. She met her husband, David Zevenbergen, in the orchestra at the university. They were married in 1963 and had three children.
Linda finished her Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education at the University of Oregon in 1978. She spent the majority of her adult life in service to others. She taught second and third grade and was a day care provider, church choir member and director, and a Stephen’s Minister. She also cared for her mother in her mother’s final years. Linda was devoted to her family, faith, church, and the many pets she cared for. She loved sewing, knitting, reading, puzzles, card games like Shanghai Rummy, spending time with her family at Birch Bay, and especially Mississippi Mud, a special family dessert.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children, Michael Zevenbergen, Mark (Andrea) Zevenbergen, and Cheryl (Jeff) Conrad; and eight grandchildren, Amy, Aaron, Jackson, Micah, Arica, Mia, Mac (Christine), and Lynden. She will be remembered in our hearts forever.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Bellingham at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026.
