Dale Thomas Crane
Oct 31, 1959 — Jul 9, 2026
Dale Thomas Crane was born on October 31, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed to eternal life in Heaven on July 9, 2026 in Tacoma, Washington. Dale is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patti (Pat) Crane, his daughter Viktoreia (Adam) McBride, step-daughters Christine (Jamacia) Yancy and Michelle Sanchez, 12 grandchildren (Carter, Zola, AJ, Dalles, Jaylen, Anthony, Cierra, Kasen, Brinlee, Phoenix, Canyon and River), bonus granddaughter Sarah, sisters Brenda (Rick) McDonald and Jeanne Swanson, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his infant son Kristaphar, parents Eugene and Harriet Crane, and his brother David Crane.
Dale served in the US Army for seven years and worked at several professions after that including food service and construction. In addition to enjoying wood-working and vegetable gardening, he was a ‘foodie’, delighting his family and friends with his amazing culinary talent. It’s been said that he could get a clump of grass, pour a sauce over it and it would be delicious. He also was a voracious reader, frequently reading multiple books in a week. Dale adored his wife, his girls and his grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
While flowers are lovely and appreciated, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association. Dale had heart disease for 20 years, with congestive heart failure being the cause of his death. A memorial service will be held on July 25 at 1p at the Puyallup Nazarene Church, 1026 7th Ave SW, Puyallup, Washington.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ali, Dr. Furiasse and Dr. John and the team at Pulse Heart Institute, and the nurses and CNAs at Tacoma General Hospital for their excellent care of Dale, and support and encouragement of Pat.
