Glenda Ledgard
1947-2026
Puyallup, Washington, Glenda Smith Ledgard, age 78, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to T. Vinton Smith and Glenda Winget, November 28, 1947. She passed away on October 23, 2026, in Puyallup, Washington. Her elementary, junior high, and high school years were spent in Utah Schools, graduating from Murray High School in 1966.
Following high school, she worked for Grand Central Corporation while attending LDS Business College in Salt Lake. She achieved her Business associate's degree in 1968. On June 18, 1968, she married her sweetheart, John F. Ledgard, for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After their marriage, they became a U.S. Air Force Military Family living in different locations throughout the U.S., Europe, and Southeast Asia, finally settling in the Washington State area following John’s retirement. As a life-long faithful member of the L.D.S. Church, Glenda held many responsible callings in the various organizations throughout her life–especially enjoying her service as a seminary instructor and stake seminary supervisor for 12 years with the youth. Glenda also faithfully supported her husband in his many callings throughout their lives.
Glenda is survived by her husband, John, son, Jared, daughter, Emily, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren (with one on the way) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
