Nadine Agnes Morris

Nadine was born on April 26, 1939, in Tacoma to Ishmal and Agnes Johnson. She grew up in Puyallup, raised a family with her husband Bill in Puyallup and Graham, and spent her final years with Bill in Puyallup.

Just a few years after graduating from Puyallup High School in 1957, Nadine met William Morris, also of Puyallup, who had recently returned from Air Force duty in Germany. They were married in 1960 at All Saints Catholic Church in Puyallup and enjoyed nearly 66 years of marital love and commitment.

In addition to raising children Jeff, Jimmy and Kerry, Nadine worked at Kapowsin Elementary School. She also was a founding member and for decades was an active member of Holy Disciples Catholic Church. Throughout her life, Nadine demonstrated a commitment to community service, volunteering and leading numerous activities, such as food banks and clothing charities, in support of community members in need.

Nadine maintained an active life in retirement with Bill, traveling, volunteering, and spending much time with friends and family. Nadine is survived by husband William (Bill), son Jeffery (Tracie) and daughter Kerry (Roger) Richied, grandchildren Tomas, Alexander, and Olivia, and brother Raymond. She is preceded in death by son James and sister LaVonne Steele.

A viewing will be held on August 12, from 1-5pm at Curnow & Hill Funeral Homes, 819 River Rd, Puyallup, WA 98371 . A service of remembrance and life celebration will be conducted at Holy Disciples Catholic Church in Puyallup on Thursday, August 13, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow.
