Randy Alan Stemp
Oct 13, 1960 — May 18, 2026
Randy Alan Stemp, born October 13, 1960, in Puyallup, Washington, entered into the presence of the Lord on May 18, 2026, in Olympia, Washington.
Randy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tyna Stemp; his parents, Eugene and Betty Lou Stemp; and his sister, Cynthia Thomson.
He is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Sarah Stemp- Lawrence (Chris Lawrence), Jacqueline Posick (Clint Posick), and Randy Stemp Jr. He also leaves behind seven grandsons who were the pride and joy of his life: Jordan Biswell, Tyler Stemp, Ryan Weiss, Kaleb Weiss, Jaycek Stemp, Cale Posick, and Finn Posick. Randy is also survived by his siblings, Diana Schrader, Eugene Stemp Jr., and Annette Johnston.
Randy graduated from Puyallup High School in 1979 and went on to serve his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Riverside Fire Department. He worked many years at Kaiser Aluminum and was known for his willingness to help anyone in need. Randy took great pride in raising cattle and running bobcat work on the side. He loved working with his hands — whether it was dirt work, building, fixing, or farming — and there truly wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He was a jack of all trades.
An outdoorsman through and through, Randy loved fishing, crabbing, camping, and spending time outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of the outdoors he loved so much.
Randy was also a devoted sports fan. He passionately cheered on the Huskies, Seahawks, and Mariners every chance he got. Watching the game with family and friends was one of the many simple joys he treasured.
More than anything, Randy will be remembered for his enormous heart, larger-than-life personality, and unforgettable sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and always had the best stories to tell. He had a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. Without a doubt, Randy was the life of the party, and his laughter and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing he is reunited with loved ones who went before him and resting in the arms of the Lord. His legacy of love, hard work, faith, and laughter will never be forgotten.
