In Loving Memory of Rick Bennett
If you knew Rick Bennett, you knew life was never meant to be taken too seriously. Whether you called him Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle, or just your favorite troublemaker, Rick had a way of making everyone laugh, telling stories that somehow got bigger every year, and making friends wherever he went.
After a career at Boeing, Rick officially retired—but anyone who knew him knows he never really slowed down. There was always something to build in the shop, someone to tease, or a reason to gather family and friends. He believed the best memories were made around a barbecue, a bonfire, and a cold drink shared with good company.
Rick's greatest accomplishment wasn't his career—it was the family and friendships he built. He loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and left behind countless stories that will continue to be told for generations... probably with a few embellishments, just the way he'd want them.
Rick was born on October 6th, 1959, to Richard L. Bennett and Capitola B. Jackson, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also blessed with the love and support of his stepmother, Mary Riemann, who survives him.
Rick was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Bennett.
Rick is lovingly survived by his children:
Jennifer Ellsworth
Nathan Bennett
Josh Bennett
Amanda “Panda” Bennett
He was a proud grandfather to:
Brendan Wooten
Austin Ellsworth
Delanci Ellsworth
Jazmine Bennett
Ryker Bennett
He is also survived by his siblings:
Debi Bennett of Ohio
Brenda Hale of Ohio
James Jackson of Texas
Linda Bennett of Washington
Trisha (Sean) Mineken of Washington
Sandy Bennett of Washington
Rick was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Miller; his brother Robert Bennett; his sister Pamela Bennett, sister Linda Guzman; brother Charles E. Bennett and brother John Markam.
He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and countless friends who will miss his stories, laughter, and larger-than-life personality.
