Leonard “Lenny” “Len”, J. Pompeneo, Venice, passed away March 26, 2008. He was 81. He was born July 2, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. Survivors include wife, Kathy of Venice; six children: Kathy Elliott of Stow, OH, Suanne Pomponio of Sarasota, FL, Elaine Norcross of Forney, TX, Annette Pomponio of Cornville, AZ, Andrea Maticka of Monterey, CA, Brian Pompeneo of Tampa, FL; nine grandchildren; two sisters: JoAnne Greer of Surprise, AZ and Lenore Wentzel of Hilliard, OH. A Visitation will be held from 11AM -12 noon, Monday, March 31, 2008 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, March 31, 2008 at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.
