"Palmer-January 11, 2016 John J Aubin joined his loving wife of 61 years, a short 12 days after her passing. Surrounded by family John lost his hard fought battle with cancer. He knew the meaning of hardwork, working many jobs. He retired from Zero Corp in1990. He promptly started driving the"elder bus" retiring after 18 years. John was a proud Korean veteran, a communicant of St Thomas church, a member of Amvets, and lifetime member and PER of the Elks 2448. John ran and worked the bingo at the Elks for approximately 39 years! He and Pearl were fixtures at the Palmer Senior Center, enjoying scat, dominoes, bingo, and just socializing. John leaves behind his 4 loving children, John of Three Rivers, Ron and his wife Jeannette of Vancouver WA, Marie and her husband Chris Hayward of Gilbertville, and Don of Three Rivers. He Also leaves 4 brothers Joe, Ernest, David and Leo. Three sisters Margaret, Alice and Louise. His 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren will miss him greatly as will his sister-in-law Doris Burns-Lauze of Grafton. John is predeceased by his parents, wife, and granddaughter Amanda Marie, who is waiting for"her man"! In lieu of flowers please send donations to Baystate Hospice. Memorial service will be Sunday January 22 at 3-5 pm at AMVETS in Three Rivers. A Funeral Mass will be Monday, Jan. 23rd at St Thomas Church 11am (kindly meet directly at church) followed by interment at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 1pm. "
