Keith Cooper, 49, of Charleston SC, West Ashley, Passed into the hands of God on Thursday, 17 March 2016, after an extended illness. Keith is survived by his Fiancé, Ellen Traynham, his mother, Carol Hefner, his Father, Keith Cooper Sr. (Bubba), his Sister, Carmen Angela Cooper (Angel) and her children. Keith was born on 24 July 1966 in Charleston SC. He lived in Summerville SC and worked as a construction painter for most of his life. Keith was an accomplished musician with a unique vocal signature that was hard to forget once you heard him sing. He wrote many songs and recorded with his band “Ruthier” back in the 1990s. He was an an excellent guitar player and loved country as well as classic rock music. He played with an acoustic duo called Sandelwood from 1999 to 2003. A two hour memorial service will be held on Sunday, 20 March 2016 from 1pm to 3pm for family and friends at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services located at 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, North Charleston, SC.
