CAYCE - Frances M. 'Sally' James, 59, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Born in Clinton, SC, she was a daughter of the late Madison Dillard Milam and Cornelia Graham Milam. A private service will be held at a later date. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics of South Carolina, 1276 Assembly St., Columbia, SC 29201.Mrs. James, wife of Bob James, had retired from the State of South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs and the Council on Quality and Leadership. She spent her life helping people with disabilities all over the world. Mrs. James was also a charter member of D's Wings.Surviving are her husband, Bob James of Cayce; daughter, Kirklyn James Johnson (John) and son, Mitch James, all of Gaston; sisters, Linda and Jane; five grandchildren, Kendal James, Chaley James, Tyler Hamilton, Alley Hamilton, and Khaleb Johnson; also two dogs, Max and Hercules.Family and friends may sign the on-line guest book atwww.thompsonsfuneral.com.
