Mary Ann Humphries, 79, of Hopkins, South Carolina passed away June 15, 2023 at her home in Hopkins, South Carolina. She was born on January 27, 1944 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late John and Annie (Dobson) Painter. Mary Ann retired from the banking industry as a Vice President at Bank Of America. When she was not working, she was an eclectic collector of dolls and anything that piqued her interest. Mary Ann was generous with her time and finances. She was regularly donating her time and finances to charities throughout the state and abroad. She had an adventurous spirit and would not think twice about traveling all over the state and farther. Mary Ann was strong in her spirit and in her Christian faith. She was a protector of those around her. She will be missed by those she loved and those that loved her. Mary Ann is survived by her children, Donald Roy Hadden (Stephanie), Katelyn Humphries and Tonya Driggers; grandchildren, Crystal Ridgell, Kevin Fitzsimmons, Stephen Painter, Jessica Painter, MacKenzie Painter, Wayne Halloman, Roy Hadden, Avery Hadden, Wren Hadden and Krista Johnson; and twelve great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brothers, John Painter (Diane), Mike Painter (Carol) and Derrill Painter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Lester Humphries, and a son, Stephen LaBrian Painter. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on June 20, 2023 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on June 21, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Interment will be at Greenlawn Serenity Gardens following the chapel service.
