Faye Tidwell Phipps, 87, of Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, at The Pines Assisted Living Facility. She was born July 1936 in Columbia, to Lila & Fable Tidwell. Faye was a graduate of Brookland Cayce High School. She retired from the University of South Carolina Department of Contract Grant Accounting & Northrup King Seed Company (Syngenta US). Faye is survived by her children, Stephen (Steve) Alan Phipps, James Anthony (Tony) Phipps (Mia) and Gina Phipps Byars (Treye); grandchildren, Cory Cribb, Hannah Phipps, Seth Tollison, Connor Tollison and Kaelyn Saxon; great grandchildren, Elijah-James, Liam and Remington. Faye will forever be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. A memorial service will be held at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel on January 12, 2023 at 2PM where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, James Leon Phipps.
