John William Marsh known as “Billy Marsh” has passed away peacefully at home after 88 years of life. Billy enjoyed being with his wife Harriet of 60 years, gardening, drinking coffee at The Waffle House with friends, rock fishing in the spring while napping waiting for a bite, and most of all working in the HVAC field. He was well respected in his career and one of the best in his profession. Billy was predeceased by his wife Harriet Bull Marsh whom he loved unconditionally. He had three children: Valerie Roosen, Cindy Mitchell (Robert), John Marsh (Lorelee); three grandchildren: Anthony, Will and Montana and great grandson Gabriel. His parents were William and Ruth Marsh. Billy was one of nine children: Douglas, Sarah (Sally), Frank, Lois, Tommy, Jimmy, Jesse, Linda. Billy served in the Air National Guard, Eastover Ruritan Club and Mechanical Contractor Association. He was well known in the Lower Richland Community. From all of your family daddy, “Go Rest High on that Mountain” Services will be held Tuesday May 7, 2024, visitation 10:00 am at Thompson Funeral Home and immediately following, 11:00 am graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you to make a contribution to a charity or church of your choice.
